Currently, the Joss Group publishes four paid newsletters: the Seybold Report, the Digital Publishing Report, the Specialty Printing Report, Graphic Arts News Monthly. We also publish the free quarterly Books for Graphic Artists.  

The prices listed below are for individual (one person) subscriptions. We also have group and enterprise license subscriptions, please contact us for details and pricing. In addition, we accept subscriptions from subscription agencies from around the world including all the major companies. If your company uses a subscription agency, you may place your subscription order through the agency.

You can subscribe online on this site (please visit our Store) using a credit card. We accept credit card payments from all over the world, so if you have trouble using your card on this site, please get in touch with us as we can take your card information and process it manually.

Seybold Report 

Founded in the 1970s by John Seybold, the Seybold Report is a newsletter with a long history and a strong tradition of serving its readers by delivering detailed and objective information and reviews of graphic arts technology, as well as informed and intelligent commentary about such technology. In June 2010, the Joss Group, a publishing and consulting company located in Pennsylvania, acquired the newsletter from Beard Group, a publisher headquartered near Washington DC.

Seybold Report subscribers are graphic arts professionals and executives around the world. In addition, analysts, researchers, professors, students, and others subscribe. If your job concerns tracking, researching, purchasing, or studying technology used in the graphic arts, you will profit from a subscription to the Seybold Report!

The Seybold Report is a paid newsletter published by the Joss Group twice a month (during the second and fourth weeks of each month). Subscribers receive an e-mail with a download link to access the PDF of the issue. 

The cost of a 24-issue, 12-month subscription is $499 US$. This is an individual subscription, so please do not share the issue with others. No refunds will be made after the first two issues of a subscription have been served. 

Digital Publishing Report 

Launched in May 2012, the Digital Publishing Report is a monthly newsletter and is for publishing and corporate executives who want to read and learn about topics, tools, techniques, and strategies for and everywhere publishing anywhere that is not just on paper.

Such activities go by many names these days: multi-channel publishing, apps publishing, mobile publishing, and so forth. However, what all these venues for content delivery have in common is two things: the work is publishing and the venue is digital. Thus, the name and the scope of the Digital Publishing Report.

In this newsletter we talk about the technology, techniques, strategies, and plans publishers are using to develop their digital publishing efforts. We cover e-books, apps, mobile, and more--not just the how, but also the why. When we talk about publishing, by the way, we mean more than books, magazines, and newspapers. We also mean catalogs, corporate publishing, and even publishing for education and training. Each issue contains two or three in-depth feature articles and several news stories and is 12 to 16 pages in length.

Specialty Printing Report 

Launched in June 2018, the Specialty Printing Report is a monthly digital newsletter for printing professionals around the world devoted to the topic of specialty printing--a big world which includes just about any kind of printing not done on regular paper. For example, we talk about textile printing, decorative printing, imaging on cans and bottles and all kinds of packaging, security printing, and even 3-D printing.

In each issue of the Specialty Printing Report newsletter we present the latest news about companies, technologies, and products used for this type of printing. Each issue is 12 to 16 pages long, and we include one or two major news stories, news briefs, and links to even more news. We are the best single source for news and information about specialty printing. 

The cost of a 12-issue, 12-month subscription is $499 US$ (introductory price $399 until July 1, 2018). This is an individual subscription, so please do not share the issue with others. No refunds will be made after the first two issues of a subscription have been served.

Graphic Arts Industry News Digest

The Graphic Arts Industry News Digest is published once a month during the first full week of every month. It contains all of the news briefs and short news items published in the Seybold Report and Digital Publishing Report issues the preceding month. It is the perfect and inexpensive way to keep up on all the important industry news. The cost of a 12-issue, 12-month subscription is $99 US$. This is an individual subscription, so please do not share the issue with others. No refunds will be made after the first two issues of a subscription have been served.

Books for Graphic Artists

Books for Graphic Artists is a free newsletter published once a quarter. It is in HTML format (not PDF). In this newsletter we present, briefly, notices of new printed books of interest to graphic arts professionals and students.
